Checkout & Redeem Offers | Lightspeed X Series POS via Chrome Extension Only | Partial Integration

How to Checkout & Redeem Free Good Astro Offers:

1. You can start your Lightspeed X Series sale as you would normally by adding your customer's name to the sale.

2. If you are not already logged into Astro, you can log in via the link.

3. The integration will attempt to find the customer on your Astro account just in case they were added previously if an account for them already exists, or a family member's account is already in place. It should bring up some Astro information.

4. Add their purchases to the sale. In this example we are ringing up a Buy 2 Get 1 Free offer and only entered in the 2 items the customer is paying for first.
The reason I am doing it this way, is to ensure that I know which item the customer qualifies for the Free Good before adding it to the sale.

5. Once you have finished ringing up the customer's purchases you can click the light blue button that says "Commit to Astro". This will open up another tab on your browser for Astro and you will find yourself on that customer's Pet Owner account on the first page of an Astro Checkout Screen.

An alternative method would be to add the purchases and the free good item to the sale initially. If you do this option, be sure to discount item that they are getting for free before Commiting to Astro otherwise it will try to count it as a purchase and not a Free Good.

6. You should now see their Astro Loyalty account and a punch card of the items they are buying that qualifies for the Offer. If everything looks correct select Checkout.

7. If the brand whose program you are redeeming requires a Customer Mailing Address or a Customer Email Address you will be prompted to enter this information first, and you must complete it in full in order to reach the Reward Redemption Pop-Up

Do your best to collect the required information. You can assure your customers that our data policy protects their private information.

8. Select the item to redeem on the Rewards Redemption pop-up.

It is NOT recommended to Redeem Later and save the item for next time since these Offers are typically available between the 1st and last day of the month and there is a chance the customer will not make it back to the store in time to redeem it. If the customer returns after the Offer expires there will be no way for them to redeem them.

9. Click the green Redeemed Selected Items button.

10. You should see the redemption under Rewards Earned/Redeemed this Visit. To save and close out the Astro part select Finished to go back to Vend.

11. Now you can add the item they redeemed for.

12. Astro does not apply any discounts to your sale. This must be done manually.  The method that you choose is up to you when it comes to redeeming on the POS side. You will also notice that the integration is offering you an option to commit the item on the sale to Astro as a purchase. In this case we do not want to do this since the customer is taking this item home for free.
In this example, selected the item we just added and did a 100% discount on that item. You will notice that the Uncommited purchases section now says Free Good as well.

13. Now you can finish the sale as you would normally and collect your customer's payment.

How to Checkout & Redeem a Rebate Offer:

1. Add your customer's name to the sale.

2. Add their purchases to the sale. In this example we are ringing up a Rebate Offer.

3. Once you have finished ringing up the customer's purchases you can click the light blue button that says "Commit to Astro". This will open up another tab on your browser for Astro and you will find yourself on that customer's Pet Owner account on the first page of an Astro Checkout Screen

4. You should see a pop-up that the customer is Eligible for an Offer. Select Ok, to apply the offer to their Astro account.
If the item is also in a Frequent Buyer program, it will ask if you want to only add the item to the offer via the black button. If you want the customer to only receive the offer and not punch their frequent buyer card, you can use that option.
If the customer does not want the rebate offer, you can select No Thanks.

5. You should see a Rebate card on their account now. It will also punch their frequent buyer card if the item is also in a frequent buyer program.

6. Select Checkout on Astro.

8. You should then see the Reward Redemption pop-up. This will show you the available rebate available to redeem. In this example, we are redeeming a $2 Off rebate.

It is NOT recommended to Redeem Later and save the item for next time since these Offers are typically available between the 1st and last day of the month and there is a chance the customer will not make it back to the store in time to redeem it. If the customer returns after the Offer expires there will be no way for them to redeem them.

9. Check the box and select the green Redeem Selected Items button.

10. You should see the rebate that was redeemed under the Rewards Earned/Redeemed This Visit section. If everything looks correct, select Finished to go back to Lighhtspeed X.

8.  Astro does not apply any discounts to your sale. This must be done manually.  The method that you choose is up to you when it comes to redeeming on the POS side.
In this example, we selected the Discount button and selected the $ symbol to subtract $2 from the sale since we only rung up the one item. You can select the item to apply a discount directly to that item, this option may be better if they bought multiple items in one transaction.

9. Now you can finish the sale as you would normally and collect your customer's payment.
