Connect to Facebook Settings | Marketing Suite
Introducing a NEW Feature to our Astro Marketing Suite! Now you can connect your business Facebook page. Doing so will allow you to post images from the Astro Image Library directly to your Facebook or Instagram accounts!
Let's begin!
From your Marketing Suite Dashboard click the Settings icon located at the top right corner of your page.
You may notice an Alert icon above your Settings, this is letting you know that your Settings are incomplete.
Now you will see your Settings checklist. Any incomplete Settings will have a red X beside it. Since Connect to Facebook is brand new you are likely to see a red X beside it.
Astro will only allow you to link Business Facebook and Business Instagram accounts to your Marketing Suite. If you cannot locate your Facebook or Instagram page while navigating the Connect to Facebook Settings, then check your Facebook and Instagram Account Type. If it is not a Business Account you will need to convert it to one in order to establish the connection.
NOTE You are able to link both your Business Facebook and your Business Instagram accounts, but they must be connected to one another in order to do so. You are also able to link one and not the other.
Step ONE - Let's Begin
Click where it says Connect to Facebook.
Step TWO - Logging In
Click the blue Facebook Log In button.
Now you will see one of two pop-ups. Both of which relate to Facebook.
This pop-up is the most typical and will ask you to enter your Facebook login credentials. Type out your email or phone number associated with your business Facebook account and your password into the fields provided. Then click the blue Login button.
The other version of this Facebook pop-up that you may see is this one:
This pop-up is essentially asking you if its located the correct account and whether you wish to connect it to your Astro Loyalty Social account. If the account it is showing you is not the one you wish to connect to Astro Loyalty Social then click the link that says, "Login to another account."
NOTE: FYI, I'm Katherine, my personal Facebook Page is the admin of our store's business social accounts. So if I was seeing this I would select Continue since doing so would allow me to post directly to one of the business pages I manage. However, if my personal page was not associated with my Business page, or I saw someone else's credentials here (which could happen if I shared my laptop with someone else), then I would select "Login to another account." There is no way to link a personal page this way. And all Business Pages must have at least one personal page as the Admin.
Facebook does not allow you to create a business page without it being linked to a personal profile. Any business page needs an admin, who is a person who manages the page.
Step THREE - Making the Connections
After clicking either "Login" or "Continue as..." you may see a new pop-up. If your login is associated with multiple Business Facebook and Instagram pages this pop-up will allow you to choose the specific pages you wish to connect. Click the Edit Settings button to make sure the proper Connections are made.
First we're going to choose the Business Instagram page/s we wish to connect to Astro Loyalty Social. Check the box beside the one/s you wish to connect. Then click Next.
The next page is dedicated to selecting your Business Facebook page/s that you wish to connect to Astro Loyalty Social. Check the box beside the one/s you wish to connect and click Next.
On the final page of your connection settings you will be able to choose what you are cool with allowing Astro Loyalty Social to do on your connected pages.
Permissions listed are as follows:
- Receive your email address
- Access profile and posts from the Instagram account connected to your Page
- Upload media and create posts for the Instagram account connected to your Page
- Show a list of the Pages you manage
- Read content posted on the Page
- Create and manage content on your Page
Remember, Astro is not able to do anything to your social pages without your action, meaning you have to click "Post" to share something. So if you lift any of these permissions it may affect how you are able to use Astro Loyalty Social to share things on your pages. Astro Loyalty does not interact with your pages - you use the tools within your Astro Loyalty Account to interact with your own pages.
At the bottom left of this pop-up you are able to access Astro Loyalty Socials Privacy Policy if you wish to review before continuing.
We do recommend that you keep all toggles set to YES so you are not limiting your own functionality. When finished with this page click Done.
Step FOUR - Ya Done!
Upon clicking Done, you're done. All that is left now is clicking OK.
Can I undo the Connection? Or undo it and make a different one?
Let's say you wish to remove your connection completely, or you wish to link a different account after the fact. This is possible by clicking Connect to Facebook from your Settings checklist again. Click the button that says Remove Facebook Link.
If you just wanted to disconnect Astro Loyalty Social from your social pages you can stop here. If you wish to establish a new connection click the Login button and start over from Step One.
Start Posting!
You're all set. Head over to your Astro Image Library and post a pic!
